Shane, what you have done with our water clarity is unbelievable. We had been told that we just had to keep dumping chemicals into the pond and eventually it would clear up. My name is Shane Hastings and I have been blessed with three of the greatest things anyone could ever ask for. I have a wonderful family; I am fortunate enough not to have to go to work but rather design, create, and build works of art for the best clients; and everyone in the family is involved in the business.

My wife Recole is in charge of planting the ponds. If you visit our portfolio you can see some of the work she has done. She gets calls not only from our clients, but from other landscapers and pond builders who want her to plant their ponds. She does an absolutely beautiful job.

My son’s name is Dylan. He is now six going on fifteen (as any of you with children can attest to). He comes out to pond jobs with me and it truly is a joy having him out there. He comes and “throws” the river cobble in the pond. It’s a very important job, you know. One day I had him on service calls with me and he told the customer: “We’re here to fix your broken pond.” It was absolutely hilarious.

And yes, I have two dogs. One is named Romula. She is the dog you see on the front page of our website. She has been a true blessing on this family. She is a Cane Corso mastiff, and she helped us build our pond. My second is Massima and she just recently joined our family. For those of you with dogs I hope yours are as big a blessing as mine…..

It’s funny how I get a big smile on my face just sitting here writing this. I hope all of you can be as blessed as I am.

My name is Zach Ploen, I have been in water gardening for almost 10 years now. Growing up I was always fascinated with aquatic life. I love fish and reptiles and basically any creatures that you would find around sources of water. I am glad that I have chosen a career path that allows me to learn and teach about these things I grew up loving. I have dedicated my life to help others see the joy that I find in water gardening. I have a bachelors degree in Business Management from Western State College of Colorado.

My wife is Abby and she is a talented artist. She has a Masters Degree in Architecture and loves everything design related. Abby helps us layout our water feature design. She too loves the sound of moving water.

We have been married since 2007 and plan to tour the world. Soon we would like to have a family of our own. Abby and I live our lives by one simple rule, “Treat others the way you would want them to treat you.”
